01-14- 2004 - At 0° ... How's Your Truck Engine Starting?

Here on the East Coast when January comes around it's time to give cold weather at little thought... especially when the temperature starts dropping to a chilly 0 degrees.

Cold weather not only tests what metal we're made of but even more so.. what metal our Dakota Trucks are made of!

On this update we bring you inside as well as outside of our "test Dakota truck" so you can take a good look (and listen) and see how your Dakota truck should be starting and running when it starts to get a little cold outside.

Our purpose here is to make a comparison of your truck and how it should be starting in cold weather... to possibly isolate if your truck has any mechanical or electrical problems.. or.. if it's just doing fine.

So whether your truck is brand new or getting ready to hit it's 4th birthday.. you should get a pretty good idea on how it's doing.

Don't forget to put on a sweater or something.. it's going to get a little nippy.

01-28- 2004 - Taking On Winter Engine Sludge
On the last update we took a look at some video clips and sound tracks to see how well our trucks start in cold weather. On this update we follow up on how to continue making sure our Dakota trucks continue to start well in cold weather.

We'll cover what you need to check over to get your truck through winter and make you engine starting go a lot smoother.

As more Dakota owners continue writing in about loosing an engine to oil sludge.. we are forced to take another look at engine sludge.. on how it gets in your engine and how it may be possible to reduce it's devastating effects on your engine.

Don't miss this article.. we really don't want another Dakota owner telling us they lost an engine to engine sludge.. when they didn't have to.
