05-30-2006 - Replacing Your Dakota Radio!
1st step: console dash cluster bezel removal

This update we walk you through every step of removing the dash console to gain access to your truck radio for removal..service or replacement. As always we include many high definition and close up images of the what and the where of accomplishing this task.

Most of you may have thought this is beyond your capabilities..that's what the stereo installers and dealers want you to think. Follow our "show you how" guide and you will have it done in less time than it takes to drive to your local installer...and save a bundle.

Why?

Okay..so you had your factory radio in you truck for a few years now..it still sounds good..but..maybe the cassette player sticks every once in a while..maybe..the CD player skips a bit....Maybe you are just getting tired of it all and want something new...We did!

With the new technologies and media being introduced and becoming more excepted across a broader range of platforms..chances are if you are still holding on to your old stereo system..you could be missing out on some really cool stuff.

Stuff like MP3..compressed music that sounds as good a your standard CD..but with one disk capable of replacing 10 CD's. Imagine all your music..arranged the way you want it played on a few CD's..

Microsofts WMA compression is one of the best and becoming more common across platforms. Here is a typical example..Olympus makes a tiny digital stereo recorder..it records in WMA...it has a memory bank that plugs into the usb port on your computer. You can "BURN" directly to a CD in WMA and take the CD and play it in your truck..great when you have better things to do with your free time..and played during your daily boring commute to work..can't beat that for saving time and sanity.

Also a new coming compression technology to recently hit the market is Atrac3 which compresses CD data to 1/10 it's original size.

And don't forget about satellite radio..it's signal has to be pumped through your radio's amplifier to make it to the speakers.

Okay with so many new innovative technologies here now.. being used now...what are you waiting for?

Also Coming...

Our top pick "Head Unit"..the most bang for the buck..unit!

What you need for a fast installation of your new "Head" stereo unit..

And the wiring hook up and installation guide.

Do it today.. and save a bundle...
